After earning a Bachelor's degree in education from Otterbein College, Carey continued on to earn a Master's degree in School Counseling from the University of Dayton. While working in the school system as a guidance counselor, she furthered her studies at University of Dayton to earn a degree in Community Counseling.

Carey has a passion for working with people and a special gift for working with those in need of encouragement towards a better life. In her free time, Carey enjoys traveling, sports, outdoor activities and spending time with her husband and their bloodhound, Zion—who feels that it is her job to slobber on everything in site!
